Jenny: Marked and Made Clear- A Worship Night Encounter
Marked for Ministry: Jenny’s* Encounter at Worship Night
There’s something powerful about being in a room full of worshipers, hearts lifted, surrendered before God. That night, the room was packed, yet in the middle of the crowd, God highlighted one name in my spirit—Jenny.
A Nudge from Heaven
Jenny is someone I’ve had the honor of discipling, so when I saw her step forward during the altar call, I immediately sensed that this moment was different. The Lord impressed on my heart that she was under heavy spiritual attack—specifically in the area of her calling to ministry.
Even in the loud, crowded atmosphere, I felt the urgency to pray. I waited until another pastor had finished praying over her, and then gently stepped in, knowing God had something more to release.

A Battle Fought in Prayer
As I began to pray, I could feel the intensity of the spiritual battle. Jenny was already being touched by God, but there was still something trying to hold on—something dark, something oppressive. We pressed in.
Jenny began to tremble under the weight of God’s presence. I declared freedom, called out every lie of the enemy, and commanded the attack to end. In that sacred moment, Jenny was delivered. Her tears turned from heaviness to healing.
She looked up at me and said, “I feel like I can finally breathe again.”
I prayed for the Holy Spirit to fill her afresh, for the love of God to wrap around her like never before, and for her identity in Christ to be sealed with peace and power.
When Clarity Follows Encounter
Later that night, Jenny reached out to me. She was feeling insecure about what had happened and needed some clarity. We exchanged messages as I shared what I had sensed, what I had prayed, and the prophetic confirmation I’d received. I reminded her that what she experienced was real, and that it was God lovingly freeing her so she could step fully into her purpose.
What made it even more beautiful was that the other two pastors who had prayed for her sensed the same exact things—without hearing one another. That’s how intentionally God moves.
Healing Requires Follow-Through
It’s easy to think the breakthrough ends with the altar call—but some of the most important ministry happens afterward. God knew Jenny would need reassurance. He knew she’d need language for what she experienced. That follow-up brought her peace and helped her walk forward in confidence and clarity.
Jenny’s story is a reminder that when God marks you for something, the enemy will try to stop you—but he doesn’t win. Because freedom, when partnered with discipleship and clarity, becomes a foundation for unshakable faith.
And this—this is what we’re here for. To stand in the gap, to pray with power, and to walk beside others as they step into all God has called them to be.
